We are excited to have a successful preschool in the small town of Carlton, Oregon. The Learning for Life Preschool opened in Fall 2008, and is located inside Yamhill Carlton Elementary School. We are looking forward to a great 2011/2012 school year.

Hi, my name is Amber Horne and I’m thrilled to be the director and teacher of the Learning for Life Preschool. Children and their education are things I have been passionate about since high school. In addition to being the mother of five children, I have spent the last 15 years working with children at both the preschool and elementary school levels throughout the Northwest. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and have worked in several Elementary Schools. It is my goal to provide an environment that encourages and supports children as they discover, explore, and make sense of the world around them. It is my hope that Learning for Life Preschool will promote the development of a lifelong love of learning as well as lifelong friendships. I am truly looking forward to meeting all the children and their families who will become part of the Learning for Life community.
